overheard from bourne [legacy] on a rickety bus: “morally indefensible but necessary”
i kept thinking, what’s morally indefensible but necessary?
the use of aggressive force. in self-defense, in protection. there is no clause after “thou shall not kill” is there? so killing in self-defense is still morally indefensible but necessary.
the use of contraception. outside of health reasons, i believe it is more harmful to bring a child into this world without having the means or the emotional maturity or the inclination to properly care for that child, and it is better to prevent conception than to become an unwilling, unwitting and gravely negligent parent.
so, yes. you may accuse me of being morally corrupt. i am also practical.
